What’s Inside?

Weekly Colour-In Tracker

Seven days of water drops children can colour in as they drink, with space to write their name and goal.

Simple Parent Guide

Tips for setting an individual goal and using the tracker positively, without pressure.

How to Use the Tracker

  1. Print the weekly tracker and write your child’s name.
  2. Choose a suitable daily water goal with your child. The eight drops are progress markers; they do not automatically mean eight glasses.
  3. Decide what each drop represents based on that goal, then colour a drop after drinking the corresponding amount.
  4. Celebrate the effort at the end of the week and print a fresh copy when needed.

A Gentle Reminder About Hydration

Children’s fluid needs vary with age, body size, activity, weather and individual health. Water is a great everyday drink, but the amount a child needs should not be based on the number of printed drops. Offer drinks regularly, particularly during active play and hot weather. If your child has a medical condition affecting fluid intake, follow their clinician’s advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need to drink eight glasses of water a day?

No. The eight drops are flexible progress markers, not a recommendation to drink eight glasses. Set an age- and child-appropriate goal instead.

Can we reuse this tracker?

Yes. Print a fresh copy each week or place it in a reusable sleeve and use a wipe-clean marker.

What if my child doesn’t complete every drop?

That’s okay. Use the tracker to encourage awareness and regular drinking rather than to reward or punish a particular amount.

Is the printable free?

Yes. The tracker is a free HappyKids.fit printable.
